The project, launched in 2017, aims to create a 30-metre-long embroidery together with people from different EU countries. The participants embroider freely chosen motifs on the cotton fabric, fill in empty spaces or weave their images into the existing embroidery.
In the end, the individual contributions merge into one overall composition
from all over the EU, expressing the diversity of the people living in the EU. The project has already travelled through several countries, e.g. Germany, Italy, Croatia, Portugal and many more. The process is led by the photographer Ela Bialkowska

Ruben Montini, born in Oristano, Sardinia in Italy, is visual artist based
in Verona. In his works he is addressing gender topics and queer culture
and explores and interprets especially the themes of social claims of the
60s and 70s. Rooting within his Sardinian traditions, Montini incorporates
the aesthetic rituals. The artist strikes to radically with his work to echo
the marginalized voices in a competitive mainstream society.
